Steve Gomba has 18 years of experience as a civil engineer involved in project design with emphasis on stormwater management, soil erosion and sediment control, hydrologic and hydraulics analyses and environmental permitting. He has contributed to many public and private projects, including educational facilities, athletic fields, residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial site plans, roadway improvement projects, bridge and culvert replacements, and dam rehabilitations. He has also been responsible for dam safety inspections, dam breach analyses, and development of emergency action plans. His goal in project design is to ensure that projects are environmentally responsible with no negative impacts to the either the environment or the community. He is currently the department manager of the water resources group at Colliers Engineering & Design. In his time away from the office he is active in his community where he serves as the emergency management coordinator in his municipality and volunteers as a firefighter with his local fire department, where he has served in administrative and operational leadership roles for 15 years including 5 years as fire chief. On a national level he is a volunteer and instructor with Team Rubicon, a disaster response organization, and deploys across the country to aid homeowners in recovery from natural disasters including hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires and localized flood events.
